Congratulations on your engagement! We are so excited about your decision to share your lives together and to get married here at ICLV. It is our goal to assist you in the planning of your wedding and to invest in the future of your marriage. Here are some of the guidelines.

Step 1: Believe in Jesus Christ and accept Him as your Lord and Savior.

All who are married at ICLV must be Christians and believe in Jesus Christ. Couples should not be living together nor should they be having sexual intercourse before they are married.

Step 2: Attend ICLV.

Couples must attend ICLV regularly, but are not required to be members.

Step 3: Be engaged for at least six months and date for a year.

We believe that marriage should not be entered into lightly or quickly, therefore the engagement period needs to be for at least six months and you must date each other for at least a year.

Step 4: Take the “Prepare Enrichment Assessment.

Once engaged, please contact the Wellness Center at 702-673-4745 to schedule an appointment to take the “Prepare Enrichment Assessment.” This assessment will help you discover how compatible you are as a couple and will reveal areas that will need to be discussed during pre-marital counseling. Please allow yourself 90 minutes for the assessment test. This is the prerequisite for your counseling.
