The Men of ICLV

Discipleship Night
Wednesdays at 7:00 pm

Tribes
Our men generally meet on Wednesday nights for Bible study. During these nights we meet in small to large groups called “Tribes.” There are twelve tribes in all, and each Tribe has a biblical name. Tribes are small communities where personal needs are met. In these small communities we pray for each other, build solid relationships, support and encourage one another, men are discipled and held accountable for their walk. At times tribe members assist each other by helping members of their own community (Tribe) move to a new residence.

Each Tribe has a Tribe Leader and a leadership structure; co-leaders, administrators, follow-up people, greeters, etc. Tribes are encouraged to grow and multiply spiritually and numerically.

Assembly
An “Assembly” is a short window of time when all Tribes meet together in a general assembly format between break out sessions, classes we call Men's University. In this format the men's pastor or guest speaker addresses all twelve Tribes for a few weeks.

Some nights we have “pot-luck” nights. During these nights we build fellowship, stronger relationships and connections.

Once a quarter we have a “Night of Champions” where certain members of our community are honored, and asked to speak for 10 minutes. These members are men who stand out in character and leadership within the church.

Men's Advance/Conference

Advance
An “Advance” is a Friday night and Saturday morning retreat, usually within the city limits. There’s a theme that goes with the weekend, we worship together and attend workshops.

Conference
Our conferences are held bi-annually. A speaker is sought after that has a “now” message for men. In the general sessions we worship, listen to challenging messages, pray for each other at the altars, and have breakout sessions with various speakers.
